This page explains who we are, what we do, how we are paid, and what we do not do. Please read it before using this site or working with us.

Who provides these services
This site is operated by WBFIN LLC, doing business as Wealth Building Financial. Our planning, tax, and insurance-related services are provided through that entity.
We work with clients in all 50 states, primarily by video meeting and phone.
Credentials
Wenjuan Bu is an Enrolled Agent (EA) admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, with more than eight years of professional experience.
An EA is a federal tax credential granted directly by the IRS. Enrolled Agents may represent taxpayers before the IRS in all 50 states on filings, examinations, and disputes. The credential requires passing an IRS examination and completing ongoing continuing education.
You can verify the credential through the IRS Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers.
How we are paid, and the conflict that creates
You should know this before you engage us:
- Tax and planning services are billed as fees, agreed in writing before work begins.
- Insurance products: if you buy insurance through us, we receive a commission from the insurance carrier. The carrier pays it — it is not billed to you on top — but it is a genuine conflict of interest. An advisor who recommends insurance benefits financially when you buy it.
- We do not currently receive commissions on investment securities.
We handle that conflict by naming it. Before recommending any insurance, we explain why we think you need it, what the alternatives are including not buying it, and that we are paid if you proceed. You can ask us at any time how we are compensated on a particular recommendation, and we will tell you.
Our commitment to you
We commit to putting client interests first across every service: we do not steer you toward a product because it pays us more, we do not recommend what we do not understand, and we do not push you to decide before you understand the decision.
That is our standard of practice, and it is exactly why the previous section spells out where our money comes from. Putting your interests first only means something if you know how we are paid.
What we do not provide
- Legal services. We are not a law firm and do not draft wills, trusts, or other legal documents. Those are prepared by a qualified attorney team; our role is coordinating those arrangements with your accounts, beneficiary designations, and tax planning.
- Audit or attest services.
- Guaranteed returns. No one can guarantee investment results. Anything involving investments carries the risk of loss, and past performance does not predict future results.
What the content on this site is
The articles, calculators, market data, and resource pages here are general education. They are not tax, legal, or investment advice for your situation.
Tax and Social Security rules change, and many of them depend on your income, filing status, state of residence, and household. Before acting, discuss your specific circumstances with us or another qualified professional.
Reading this site, using a calculator, or submitting the contact form does not create an advisory relationship. That relationship begins when both parties sign a written service agreement.
Calculators and market data
The calculators on this site are estimation and comparison tools built on simplified assumptions. They are not suitable for tax filing and should not be your only basis for a decision.
Market and economic data comes from FRED, maintained by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and updates on the publishing schedule of each series. Figures may lag or be revised; we do not warrant third-party data.
Third-party links
We link to the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the Federal Reserve, and other outside sites so you can check primary sources. We do not control their content, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the linked site.
